How to change a forgotten Hello Money PIN

  • How to register

    1. Dial *895#
    2. Press 1 (self registration)  
    3. Enter branch name or code
    4. Press 1 to confirm branch
    5. Enter account number without the branch code
    6. Select option 1 to accept the terms and conditions
    7.  Write out your DOB in format yyyymmdd and confirm digit for specific position as requested by the system. e.g. 4th and 7th position of your date of birth
    8. Confirm debit card number
    9. Enter debit card expiry date on your debit card
    10. You will receive a 4-digit temporal PIN. Dial *895# to change your PIN

  • How to change PIN

    1. Dial *895#
    2. Press 1 to access forgot password 
    3. Press 1 to continue 
    4. Enter branch name or code
    5. Press 1 to select account
    6. Enter account number
    7. Enter digit of specific positions of your date of birth in format YYYYMMDD as requested. e.g. with DOB 1990/06/21,  5th and 8th positions would be (0) and (1).
    8. Enter digit of specific positions of your debit card as requested, e.g. when debit card number is 4321 0681 9561 8843, 2nd, 4th, 12th and 16th positions would be 3, 1, 1, 3.
    9. Enter debit card expiry date.
    10. Enter new PIN
    11. Confirm new PIN
How to send cash
  1. Dial *895#
  2. Select ‘Cardless Withdrawal (CashSend)’, Option
  3. Enter the recipient’s mobile number (this is mandatory)
  4. Enter amount in multiples of 10. Maximum is GHS1500
  5. Select account to debit
  6. Create a 4-digit custom PIN for the transaction
  7. Confirm PIN and share with recepient
  8. Submit and pick voucher details and PIN on confirmation screen
  9. Pick voucher ID and your 4-digit PIN for Hello Money
  10. Enter the recipient’s mobile number (this is mandatory)
  11. Confirm the transaction, and receive a confirmation note of the transaction. An SMS will be sent to the number entered at step 10 with the details of the voucher.
  12. Send the PIN separately to the recipient for security reasons.
How to top up airtime
  1. Dial *895#
  2. Enter mobile banking PIN
  3. Select option 2: Airtime Top up
  4. Select operator (Bemobile/Mascom/Orange)
  5. Select to other number
  6. Select once-off if number is not a saved beneficiary
  7. Enter mobile number
  8. Enter the amount you wish to top up for
  9. Select the account you would like to debit
  10. Confirm the transaction
  11. You will see a transaction confirmation screen
